WCAG 2.1 Level AA — Substantially Conformant

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

A11ytek (a11ytek.com) substantially conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Substantially conforms" means that most of the content meets the WCAG 2.1 Level AA success criteria, with the limited exceptions noted below, which we are actively working to resolve. We also track and progressively adopt the additional WCAG 2.2 Level AA criteria.

Measures Taken

A11ytek takes the following measures to ensure accessibility:

  • Regular automated testing using axe-core and WAVE
  • Manual keyboard-navigation testing on every page
  • Screen-reader testing with NVDA (Windows) and VoiceOver (macOS/iOS)
  • Colour contrast verification using WebAIM Contrast Checker
  • Testing on mobile devices at multiple viewport sizes
  • Reviewing all new content before publication

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some limitations may remain. We are aware that certain third-party or embedded content (such as the Calendly scheduling widget and externally hosted resources) and any older or legacy content may not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are actively working to identify and remediate these areas. If you encounter a barrier that is not listed here, please contact us so we can address it promptly and add it to this list while we work on a fix.
